A 3-day trip out of Yerevan taking in Khor Virap Monastery, Areni-1 (Birds Cave), Noravank Monastery and Garni Temple. There are 11 stops in all.

The running order is Khor Virap Monastery, then Areni-1 (Birds Cave), then Noravank Monastery, then Garni Temple, then Geghard Monastery, and on from there.

The price covers transfer (hotel pick up and drop off), Comfortable transportation according to the program, AC and Wi-Fi on board and Professional and English speaking driver. It does not cover lunch & Drinks, Garni entrance ticket: 1500 AMD and Birds’ Cave entrance ticket: 1000 AMD, so budget for those separately. Two travellers pay $726 together rather than $726 each, because this is priced per party and not per head.

Depart from Yerevan and travel south to Khor Virap Monastery, one of Armenia’s most iconic landmarks. On clear days, enjoy magnificent views of Mount Ararat rising behind the monastery.

Areni-1 (Birds Cave)

Continue to Birds Cave, also known as Areni-1 Cave, an important archaeological site where remarkable discoveries have revealed fascinating details about ancient life in the region.

Noravank Monastery

Then travel through the impressive red-rock landscapes surrounding Noravank Monastery. Admire the monastery’s distinctive medieval Armenian architecture and its spectacular setting among dramatic cliffs. After the visit, return to Yerevan.

Garni Temple

Start the second day with a visit to Garni Temple, Armenia’s famous Greco-Roman-style pagan temple surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery.

Geghard Monastery
