Full description
This is an 8-hour experience in Phnom Penh. It is run by Cambodia Taxi Driver, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tuol Sleng was a Phnom Penh secondary school that the Khmer Rouge turned into Security Prison 21 in 1975. Of the roughly 12,000 to 20,000 people held there, a dozen or so survived. The classrooms still have the iron bed frames and the photographs the regime took of every prisoner on arrival. Choeung Ek, about 15 kilometres out, is where most were taken to be killed, and its stupa holds some 5,000 skulls; the audio guide there is narrated in part by a survivor and is the reason most visitors manage it at all. Both are done quietly, take about half a day together, and are not suitable for young children.

This was my first time visiting the Killing Fields and S-21 Prison, and honestly, I wasn't sure how to prepare myself emotionally beforehand. But meeting him transformed this visit into something truly unforgettable. His knowledge of Cambodian history is simply outstanding. A very interesting tour in Phnom Penh. Our guide, Lee, did everything to make an experience to remember. It was a great idea to take it early in the morning before the heat. We saw places where happened things that are difficult even to think about... it s an important tour for everybody to see what happened and Never repeat!
Chhim was an amazing guide, I was impressed by how much he knew about Cambodia history. I learned a lot. He was very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend him. He is a great guide anyone who is visiting Phnom Penh would be lucky to have him as his/her guide.

Wow what a day. Saw so much and learnt so much about the history of Cambodia. Had a tour around the city first and saw all the major sites and monuments. Visited the palace and amazing hilltop pagoda. Then on to Killing Field and museum, very sad history. Chhunly our guide had an amazing knowledge everywhere we went. He offered to take us wherever we wanted to go. Plenty of water throughout trip. Great tour, value for money. Note, tour doesn’t include entry fees as you can select where you wanted to go with this guided tour.
Excellent tour. I can’t recommend Lee’s tour highly enough. Lee was very knowledgeable about Cambodian culture and history, ancient and modern, and explained events very clearly. The tour was fantastic with visits to and explanations about the temple, the city and Royal palace. Choice of lunch place was great. The evil history of the Khmer Rouge was complicated and Lee presented the history professionally. We visited places of the darkest history in Cambodia at the end of the day and that was appropriate so I could return to the hotel quietly. Timing of places visited was great, the vehicle an

Le guide était excellent (Chhim Chhuley) et très sympathique. Il était très cultivé et connaissait très bien l'histoire de son pays. Il a été à l'écoute de mes désirs et de mes besoins (arrêts pour visites, choix du restauranf, pause, etc). Je vous le recommande fortement. J'ai adoré ma journée.
