Full description
This is a 4-hour experience from Phnom Penh, built around Golden temple, Silk Island ferry terminal and Koh Oknha Tei Market. It is run by Siem Reaper Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Phnom Penh sits where the Mekong, the Tonle Sap and the Bassac meet, and the riverfront promenade along Sisowath Quay is where the city walks in the evening. Koh Dach, the silk island, is a short ferry upstream and still has weavers working handlooms under their houses, selling direct. Oudong, 40 kilometres north-west, was the royal capital for more than 250 years until 1866 and its hilltop stupas hold the ashes of kings. The Central Market's art deco dome opened in 1937 and the Russian Market, properly Psar Toul Tom Poung, is the one for silver, silk and knock-offs.

This is one of the best tours I have ever taken. If you are in Phnom Penh, this is a must. It was fun and educational and lets you experience honest to goodness life in Cambodia. Tin Tin the guide is very knowledgeable, his English is super, and he makes sure you will enjoy the tour, and you are safe in his hands. In total we took four ferries, which were part of the experience. We stopped for fresh, like really fresh coconut milk went to a tofu skin factory and a silk "factory." We did not end up taking the sunset tour as I had accidentally booked a tuk-tuk tour when I wanted the bicycle tour. The operator, SiemReaper, was very reasonable and allowed us to switch to the bike tour the next morning. The ride was lovely. We rode ferries from island to island and then cycled flat countryside and small village roads and trails. The visits to the tofu skin making operation and especially the silk weaver were educational and enjoyable. It was a very authentic experience as opposed to some on other tours that seemed staged. This was a super fun trip with the guide who showed us all the great spots. The fruits and snacks were delicious as well and the beer. I would definitely recommend this tour with Siem Reaper as they care about you.

The tour was fantastic. A different tour company cancelled my bike tour at the last minute and I was able to rebook with this company the night before. They were reliable and dependable. The bike tour itself was fantastic, we biked to the Golden Temple which was beautiful. The bike riding was really fun and we got to take several ferries which were really refreshing. Our tour guide, Lucky, was fantastic.

Overall incredible experience, one we won’t forget! It was the highlight of our trip to Phnom Penh. We cycled from their shop to the silk islands using some ferry’s. We stopped at a Buddhist temple on the silk islands, Sath was really informative about Cambodian culture! We then visited a tofu skin factory, which was unique to this trip. Finally we visited a silk weavers, where Sath introduced us to a family who’ve created silk for generations. On arrival they gave us fresh fruit which including the best mango we’ve ever tasted!
