Koh Ker, two hours north-east, was briefly the capital in the 10th century and has Prasat Thom, a seven-tiered sandstone pyramid 36 metres high that you can climb by a wooden stair. Sambor Prei Kuk, listed by UNESCO in 2017, is older than Angkor itself, pre-Angkorian brick towers standing in forest. Some of these sites carry their own separate admission on top of the Angkor Pass. Priced per person at about $176 each, so a party of 8 comes to $1,404. This is a must do activity. Our tour guide was very informative and friendly. From the bus ride to tonle sap to the boat ride through the fishing villages you will learn so much about the culture. And the Sunset at the end is an experience not to be missed.
we had a wonderful trip and really enjoyed the tour. both, the driver and the guide were very friendly and the guide explained everything to us and made sure we had a good time. To start the tour with the stop at the artisan centre was great, we were shown around and the different crafts were explained to us and there was no need to buy something but we could if we wanted to. The main part of the tour was as well great and I would highly recommend it. Everything was handled for us and we could just enjoy it, take pictures and listen to the guides interesting facts about the village. So all in
The activity was excellent overall. We got everything we expected. The guide Mr Rama and Mr. Ti were kind and nice people. We enjoyed the time at Tonle sap.
We visited the lake Tonle Sap in late July: there was much rain and wind during that period and on the day of the excursion, so we couldn't appreciate the sunset on the lake as is usually planned in the tour. However, Mr Sean spent some more time carefully explaining life in the Floating village: during dry season, you can expect to see the houses built on very high stilts which makes for a very different experience. The tour included also a stop at a local handicraft station and store, where you will see people working with wood, stone and rattan.

AMAZING. Mr Chan Trea, our driver, safely took us all around. Makara, our super prepared and good English speaking guide, showed us life around the floating village of Kampong Phluk. The atmosphere was magic. Villagers were so curious about us that kept waiving and smiling. We even stopped to chat a little bit with some kids going back home from school. After the visit at the village, we went by boat in the middle of Tonle Sap lake, to admire the sunset. On our way back, through the mangrove forest, we stopped at a floating bar to enjoy some local fresh fruit and a beer, admiring a small croco
Our guide Mr Handsome was great and so enthusiastic. The tour was great. It was so interesting to see the fishing village and floating villages and see how the locals live. It was quite humbling and I’m glad my boys got to see this.
