Full description

This is a 4-hour experience in Phnom Penh. It is run by Euro Khmer Voyages, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Phnom Penh's Royal Palace has been the residence of the Cambodian king since 1866 and is still lived in, so the royal apartments are closed and the Throne Hall is seen from outside. The Silver Pagoda in the same compound takes its name from the five thousand silver tiles of its floor, most now covered to protect them, and holds a Buddha of 90 kilograms of gold set with over two thousand diamonds. The palace enforces a dress code at the gate: shoulders and knees covered for everyone. The National Museum next door has the best Khmer sculpture anywhere, and it closes for lunch.

Was picked up on time showed around by polite kind motor-tuk tuk driver. Be careful the Royal Palace entrance fee is 40.000 riel not flat 10 dollars so need to add some local change if you want to use dollars. The museum is still 10 USD and wat is taking 1 dollar from visitors. The market hall is nicely renovated cool to see the back side where the fish market is. Cold water was nicely provided. Thank you
