Oudong, 40 kilometres north-west, was the royal capital for more than 250 years until 1866 and its hilltop stupas hold the ashes of kings. The Central Market's art deco dome opened in 1937 and the Russian Market, properly Psar Toul Tom Poung, is the one for silver, silk and knock-offs.

David took us on a magnificent bicycle tour to the Silk Island near Phnom Penh. The tour was as described and took in ferry rides, Pagodas, Tofu making and the Silk making that the Island is famous for. The bikes and helmets provided were really good and the cycling was easy. David gave a good commentary which was really informed and interesting. This tour gets you away from the city and into the countryside and is really worth it.

We went with our very well English speaking tour guide Ted on an unforgettable bike tour to the Mekong Island and silk island. Ted is a great guide and very detailed in his knowledge. He shared a lot of information of the normal day of a Cambodian and of Cambodian culture. We highly recommend this trip for all.
