This is a 4-hour experience in Phnom Penh. It is run by Siem Reap er Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Phnom Penh sits where the Mekong, the Tonle Sap and the Bassac meet, and the riverfront promenade along Sisowath Quay is where the city walks in the evening. Koh Dach, the silk island, is a short ferry upstream and still has weavers working handlooms under their houses, selling direct. Oudong, 40 kilometres north-west, was the royal capital for more than 250 years until 1866 and its hilltop stupas hold the ashes of kings. The Central Market's art deco dome opened in 1937 and the Russian Market, properly Psar Toul Tom Poung, is the one for silver, silk and knock-offs.

If you want to escape the city for a few hours, this tour is perfect! It takes you to beautiful, less touristy places and gives you a chance to experience a different side of the island. My guide, Chetra, was excellent. He shared lots of interesting information about the places we visited and we also stopped at a couple of small local workshops, which made the experience even more authentic. Highly recommended!

Picked up on time and had lovely Tuk tuk ride to ferry . Enjoyable trip across river and then tuk tuk to the silk island attraction. That was amazing explained very well by guide , lots of photos and purchased some silk products . Dropped my glasses somewhere along the road , driver went back and looked , bit like needle in haystack , sadly we didn’t find them . Visited a bean sprout factory and the Golden Temple . Stopped for lunch at The Banana Tree cafe delicious food. Highly recommend . Kept hydrated Great day
