Full description

This is a 11-hour experience in Phnom Penh, built around Phnom Penh, Kampot and Kampot Province. It is run by Global Travel & Tours Asia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Cambodia's south coast is a different trip from the temples. Kampot sits on a river under Bokor mountain and is known for its pepper, grown on smallholdings that can be visited, and for a grid of French shophouses. Kep, half an hour away, is a former elite seaside town of ruined modernist villas whose crab market sells blue swimmer crab cooked with green Kampot pepper while you wait. Bokor Hill Station above Kampot was a French retreat abandoned twice, and its shell of a casino sits in cloud most mornings. Sihanoukville is the port and the ferry point for Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem.

This was a fanastic day trip! Our guide Mr Ann was so knowledgable and ran the day really well. He picked us up from our hotel and we drove (in the most comfortable car we’d been in!) down to Kampot. Had a nice walk through the town and then went to the salt fields/pepper farm. Then we went for a delicious seafood lunch in Kep, and explored a nearby cave. We never felt rushed and Mr Ann was a very professional and kind tour guide. Really recommend this if you don’t have enough time to get to Kampot, I felt like a day was enough to get a good feel for the area.

we had a wonderful day, our tour guide was very friendly and engaging and full of lots of fascinating knowledge about all of the spots we visited. Our driver made our journey very comfortable and safe. Both out guide and driver went above and beyond to make it a most memorable experience that we will not forget. Thank you to you both.

It was amazing!! We had a very VIP experience, very well looked after all the way, lots of great knowledge and the sites we got taken to were stunning! Also, great to have someone take pictures of us that knew all the good angles! Highly recommend to take the day trip if you don’t want to travel there specifically, hits all the right bits in a short time.

Very enjoyable trip. Our guide Thorn was very knowledgeable, patient and caring. He modified the itinerary to suit us as we were hungry. Lunch was great at Kimly, seafood restaurant by the beach at Kep.. Thorn regularly check in with us for toilet breaks and ensuring they were clean.as the journey was long (~3h) before yhe 1st stop. He also helped us take photos and bought us coconut drink as well as arranging a beautiful horse cart ride. The driver was also very skilful and careful too.
