This is a 1-day experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Private Siem Reap Tour Guide & Transport, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

We had an amazing two-day Angkor tour and can highly recommend it! The organization was excellent from start to finish. Everything was well planned, and the timing allowed us to experience the temples without feeling rushed. It was very professionally conducted and our guide PAL SARUON was extremely knowledgeable also. Gave ample time at all the places.. The driver VERAK was also very sweet and polite.
I really enjoyed the tour. I saw both sunrise and sunset. The guide Mr. Pheap Rath was attentive and patient. He waited for me after sunset and always informed me by phone where he was, because there were a lot of people and I could get confused and go the wrong way. Pheap Rath always showed me the best places to photograph the sunrise. He took pictures of each of us separately and the whole small group of 4-5 people together and sent the photos to everyone on WhatsApp after the tour.
This tour exceeded my expectations. Our guides Bun and Sam, plus our driver Vireak were excellent, and gave us a really good comprehensive overview of the temples and history of the Angkor empire. Vireak greeted us with an ice cold bottle of water and cold towels as we returned from of our temple tours, and drove us around some quite rough roads with skill and ease. Bun and Sam were excellent guides, making sure we saw the best of each temple and giving us adequate free time to explore afterwards. The sunset was amazing, we arrived in time to grab a good spot, and the sunrise was unbelievable.
Paul and the driver Naro were great hosts! I learned a lot about Cambodian, Hindu and Buddhist history. Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions. He also took a lot of pictures of us - professional photographer :D If you come to Siem Reap and are looking for a great tour in the Angkor Temple area, I highly recommend this 2-day tour.
Our visit to Angkor Wat and several surrounding temples was a very special experience. We had originally booked a two-day tour, but unfortunately we became ill beforehand and were only able to join for one day. The team was extremely understanding and even offered us the opportunity to make up the second day. Sadly, we didn’t have enough time left in Siem Reap to reschedule, but we truly appreciated the flexibility and kindness. Our guide, Bun, shared a lot of interesting background information in a clear and engaging way, which helped us better understand the history and meaning of the temple

I was so excited to see the temples and we had a great 2 days. First day is long but we saw so much. The highlight is day 2 . Our guide was very knowledgable and helpful. The whole family enjoyed this.
