This is a 2-day experience from Siem Reap, built around South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon temple and Baphoun temple. It is run by About Cambodia Travel and Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

We had a wonderful day with Youk! He knows a lot and was so incredibly kind! First day in a tuk tuk for the experience, second day with a car. Given that it was very hot (38 C) we appreciated the car on the second day (and the drive was longer). But both Youk and the drivers were very helpful in providing us with cold water and cold towels on both days.
We had two full days with visla as our tour guide and we saw so much going around the inner and outer temple rings. He arrived on time both days and we had the early sunrise tour over temple watt on the second day. We learned so much both about the accident history of the people and temples and what the temple architecture was all about. Smashing two day trip and I would definitely recommend.
Sovuth, or the Cambodian Cantinflas, was a wonderful and magnificent guide. His in-depth knowledge of the Angkor temples and Cambodian history is impressive. He was a very kind guide during our two-day tour of Angkor. We traveled by tuk-tuk, and the visit was fantastic, as we had cold towels ready when we finished one temple and went to the next. Die Tour war super und Radeth ein toller Guide. Da wir nicht nur zum Foto happig da waren, konnte uns Radeth viel über die Geschichte, Kultur und Natur erzählen. Auf spezielle Wünsche ist er eingegangen und hat stets geduldig gewartet, wenn ich doch Koch länger im Tempel gestöbert habe. Sein Deutsch ist super. Una actividad muy completa con un guía muy amable y simpático
Hemos pasado 2 dias espectaculares con Rat, el servicio es muy completo. Buenas explicaciones, buen trato y da una información muy completa de todo el complejo de Angkor, habla un buen español. El transporte muy cómodo tambien, éramos un grupo de 5 y había mucho sitio en la furgoneta. Las 2 rutas estan bien organizadas, y siempre hay agua fresca y toallas húmedas para contrarestar el calor y la humedad. Los sitios que llevan para comer y desayunar bien tambien.
Todo perfecto nuestro guía Raf fantástico y el chofer muy majo . La excursión vale la pena
