This is a 3-day experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat Temple, Banteay Kdei Temple and Ta Promh Temple. It is run by Happy Angkor Tour Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

This tour was fabulous. Our guide, Jimmy, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, engaging, thoughtful, and accommodating -- among many other superlatives. We were able to see everything we wanted and learned so much about what we saw. Our driver, San, was also great. The ice-cold washcloths and water bottles he brought us after each stop were wonderful. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us (getting too old to scramble around ruins), and we are so glad we booked this tour.
Our tour was simply wonderful. It was absolutely worth it. Our guide, Lonn Thou, and our driver, Bunhay, were incredible—extremely kind and polite. Thou conducted the tour in English, and we truly appreciated that he also spoke some Spanish. He always knew the best spots within the temples, taking us to the perfect places to enjoy the views and fully appreciate each site. They were always attentive to our comfort and made sure we were well taken care of at all times. They always had bottled water and cold towels available, which we truly appreciated. They also took us to delicious restaurants
Thanks to our guide Chhay and driver San - both excellent-we spent three wonderful days exploring the most interesting temples of Angkor Wat. We were always taken to the best vantage points, where we could often look around and take photos without large crowds. Everything was tailored to our pace and needs. A very enriching experience. We found Cambodia to be a wonderful country with very friendly and dedicated people. We would like to thank Chhai and San for a great time. The Lucky Ladies from Germany!👍
This 3-day tour covered almost all the important temples of the area, which was why I had booked it. The guide, Mr Tu (‘Two’) was friendly and informative and the driver, Mr San, was wonderful and drove safely and well.
