A 1-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Cambodia, Beng Mealea, Angkor Wat and Banteay Srei. Siem Reap's traffic is light by regional standards and the drive from Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, which opened in 2023 about 40 kilometres east of the town, now takes around 45 minutes rather than the ten minutes the old airport did. Within town a tuk-tuk is the normal way to move and a private car is the usual choice for the temple circuits, where the day involves long gaps between stops in heat that sits in the mid-thirties from March to May. Drivers wait at the temples rather than leaving, so a full-day car is hired by the day, not by the trip. Chansip, our guide was wonderful. We had some special needs to take in to consideration, and he made the trip manageable. He took us all through the Angkor Wat archeological park. We went to Palmboo for an authentic Cambodian lunch. He taught us so much about Cambodian history and culture. He was personable and friendly and so good natured. He was in constant contact as we approached out trip regarding pick up times, so there was no insecurity about that. We enjoyed his company so much that we had him transport us to the airport on our departure. It was a fantastic day, and I HIGHLY recommend

It was a MAGICAL experience that we would recommend to anyone. Our driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable and he allowed us to customise our itinerary even if it was a little unusual since we wanted to visit temples that are far apart. He picked us up at the airport 9:30 am and dropped us off at our hotel at 7:00pm! He was very kind and attentive and he provided cool water and wipes at every stop.
