This is a 1-day experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Happy Angkor Tour Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Siem Reap's traffic is light by regional standards and the drive from Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, which opened in 2023 about 40 kilometres east of the town, now takes around 45 minutes rather than the ten minutes the old airport did. Within town a tuk-tuk is the normal way to move and a private car is the usual choice for the temple circuits, where the day involves long gaps between stops in heat that sits in the mid-thirties from March to May. Drivers wait at the temples rather than leaving, so a full-day car is hired by the day, not by the trip.

Easy to find the stand at the airport, staff very organised and efficient, nice bus with aircon. Not a guided tour persay but a nice reliable transfer with links to reliable tuktuks at the end to take you to your destination for a dollar or so. We booked a private tuktuk tour through this which has been helpful for our stay to go smoothly!
I took a tuktuk to the leavingpoint of the bus. The bus left on time and we were at the airport in 50 min. 2 hours before my flight. This gave me more then enough time to check in (20 min) so I still had to wait over 1,5 hours 🙂 it’s a quiet airport. Great value for money, don’t spent 40 dollars on a taxi.
