This is an experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Angkor Daily Trip, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tuol Sleng was a Phnom Penh secondary school that the Khmer Rouge turned into Security Prison 21 in 1975. Of the roughly 12,000 to 20,000 people held there, a dozen or so survived. The classrooms still have the iron bed frames and the photographs the regime took of every prisoner on arrival. Choeung Ek, about 15 kilometres out, is where most were taken to be killed, and its stupa holds some 5,000 skulls; the audio guide there is narrated in part by a survivor and is the reason most visitors manage it at all. Both are done quietly, take about half a day together, and are not suitable for young children.

Mr Kim has incredible customer service and English and is a very direct and upfront person. The only thing that I would say caught me by surprise was that the ticket for the excursion itself is excluded apart from the botanical garden that was free but the rest we had to pay a small price to enter about 3 - 5 dollars max. Mr Kim himself was very good at explaining what each site was famous and important for and provided a lot of context for each site we visited and truly amplified and enhanced each experience. friendly and very attentive willing to offer cold towels and cold water when needed
