Angkor Sunrise Bike Tour With Lunch Included
Full description
This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by CWE Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat is watched from the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where the five towers come up black against the sky and then double in the water. The ticket office opens at 04:30 and Angkor Wat lets people in from 05:00, which is why tours leave Siem Reap around 04:30 for a twenty-minute drive; the sky colours before the sun clears the towers, so arriving at first light is already late for the best of it. Dry season from November to March gives the cleanest skies, while the rains bring cloud that can either kill the sunrise or make it. The pool edge fills early, the southern pool is usually quieter, and a guide who knows which side to stand on is the difference between a photograph and a wall of raised phones.
The price covers English-speaking tour guide, Modern, Helmet, Bottle water and Coke. It does not cover Temple pass and Personal expanse, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

We had an exceptional day with Pok, He had to deal with a couple of tired and sore Kiwis and he did exceptionally well. We visited Angkor Watt temple and several others that were a destination by an invigorating e-bike ride. Pok has generations of historical knowledge to impart and through the temple visits we really got a picture of !the battles , the religion changes - dynasties - wars and eventual peace that has occurred here. Fascinating ! We had a lot of fun along the way and enjoyed a traditional meal and playfulness with the phones camera to get magnificently shots.
Absolutely amazing!! Such a great experience led brilliantly by Pok. He was such a good tour guide and knew so much about all the temples! He made sure we always had water and safe on the bikes.
Angkor Wat is absolutely amazing. Pok made the experience so much better, and told us everything we needed to know. I would highly recommend booking here to get him!
The tour with Pok was great. He is a nice and dedicated guide who did the tour even though I was the only one that showed up. You can see he likes Angkoer Wat's (and the rest of the temples') history and he can explain a lot due to his good English skills. He is keen on answering all the questions you might have. At the same time he knows when places get crowded and he will guide you so that you don't wait in a long line. The bike he offers (mountain bike) is very good, and the tracks he chose protected me from the sun and offered me a slight cross country adventure through the jungle. He even
A very nicely organized tour, if you like "special adventures" away from the usual tourist streams in Angkor Wat. Pok, our guide, knew exactly the best way around the tourist streams, and going by (high quality!) mountain bikes was "a special" in itself. The overall 20km-tour also took us through a small part of the dschungle to the lesser known "Ghost Gate" - very beautiful & quiet. The break and local meal came just-in-time (although 10am for a curry seems a bit early for a European), but we did need it after the early start @5am. Surely, the "sunrise at Angkor" is a special attration, so a
It was a great experience exploring the temples by bike! Our tour guide Pok was very nice, explained a lot and also left us enough time to explore. He also showed the best spots to take pictures. The bikes are good quality mountain bikes and the landscape is flat, so the biking is not challenging. Biking through the jungle was an amazing experience!
We had a wonderful day, great bike tour. Bikes all good quality mountain bikes. Guide was very good, easy to follow instructions.
Sehr netter Guide, gute Infos, tolle Strecke
Het was een ongelooflijke voormiddag. Onze gids Pok was fantastisch.
This is a very good tour if you want to beat the crowds, learn about the local history, and don’t mind a bit of exercise in between (we cycled about 18km in total on the day, getting around between the temples). Our guide Pok was very punctual, informative, kind and fun.
