This is a 2-day experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Banteay Srei. It is run by BAYON GUIDES, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

We spent two days with me. Leang and his driver. Leang is a young, motivated guide who speaks perfect English. He knows the temples and the History very well, always putting what you see in its original context. Moreover, he will show you some hidden gems no one else sees! We highly recommend to ask for Mr Leang as he will make your trip to Siem Reap unforgettable.

Tida was a very knowledgeable tourguide and very pleasent. We have had the possibility to visit in total 12 temples, which was great. In the first temple Tida was kind of rushing through which was a bit pitty. But maybe it was due to so many tourist there around the known tree from Tomb Raider. After the second one it got better and then it was just amazing. For some of the sights he knew the best spot to take a picture from. Without asking for it, Tida has set the tour route on the first day to be able to see the sunset, which meant getting up the hill until 3.30pm and waiting 2hrs. But it wa

The guide was excellent. He arrived on time and explained how the tour would be structured on the two days. He spoke good English, was very knowledgeable about the history of the country and sights and was extremely courteous. We would recommend this tour to anyone who was thinking of going to Siem Reap.

My tour guide went above and beyond and it was the best experience I've ever had with a guide. He was always on time picking me up every day and knew everything about the locations we went to. I ended up getting sick the first day of the tour and he even offered to take me to a local pharmacy to get medicine. He was extremely accommodating and I could not recommend him or this company any more highly.
