An experience run in Siem Reap. The operator sums it up as explore with a local english-speaking tuk-tuk driver. The price covers Hotel pickup and drop-off, Personal English Speaking Driver and Vehicle (Tuk Tuk). It does not cover tour guide, temple ticket fee and meal, so budget for those separately. Sunrise at Angkor Wat is watched from the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where the five towers come up black against the sky and then double in the water. The ticket office opens at 04:30 and Angkor Wat lets people in from 05:00, which is why tours leave Siem Reap around 04:30 for a twenty-minute drive; the sky colours before the sun clears the towers, so arriving at first light is already late for the best of it. Dry season from November to March gives the cleanest skies, while the rains bring cloud that can either kill the sunrise or make it. The pool edge fills early, the southern pool is usually quieter, and a guide who knows which side to stand on is the difference between a photograph and a wall of raised phones. Indra was an absolutely amazing driver and guide. He took us right to the front of every temple, gave us background information about the temple before we went into each one and was promptly waiting for us at the exit of each one (usually without me even having to text him to let him know we were ready!!). He also gave us lots of waters throughout the day to make sure we stayed hydrated. I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to do a self-paced tour of the temples!!

As I’ve already been to Angkor Wat with a tour. So I wanted to explore the temples by myself and take some pictures. To book the tour with Indra was the right decision. As I had enough time to explore each temple not in a hurry. When I mentioned that I’ve already seen main temples Indra suggested to visit smaller one but still beautiful. Suggested spots for better pictures. He was polite and pleasant to talk to. Indra (the driver) was lovely, communication ahead of the tour was smooth, very good English and he was very professional, he picked me up from the hotel and he toured me around. He showed me a lot of temples, told me information about each of them before visiting. He waited for me with cold water every time I finished. He was really lovely, professional and I spent a wonderful day touring the Angkor temples, he really made effort to turn the experience into an amazing one. I highly recommend him.
