This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by SARUS CO., LTD, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

Seeing Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples was amazing. I didn’t realise you had to buy a ticket in advance so I actually bought this in a tuk tuk on the way there, so I didn’t benefit from the ride there. However, by the time I reached the entrance the ticket had been created with my photo ID and sent over, which was just in time. Quick, clear communication which allowed a great day out, would recommend.
Overall great. It's a fantastic place to visit. I recommend getting a ticket with transport as it is so far between the different sites.
