Full description

This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Camboya Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

The price covers English speaking tour guide, Modern, Helmet, Bottle water and Fresh Fruits. It does not cover Temple Pass and Personal Expense, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Had a great day cycling round the temple complex. Pok was an excellent guide and told us everything about the temples, battles and religions. We really enjoyed the off road cycling through the jungle. The bikes were in excellent condition and well maintained. The food at lunch was really good and included in the tour price. The pick-up from the hotel was on time and we had a Rolls Royce. 😉 Thanks to the driver. We would throughly recommend this tour guide and activity. 5 ✨ ‘s from us

Ram was our guide for the ride/tour and he was brilliant. Very flexible in dealing with anything we asked for and very informative for the visits to all the temples. He adapts the ride to suit ability and requirements of the group. Lunch was very nice and Ram was always on hand with water and other extras throughout. The whole place is spectacular and when you visit with a knowledgeable guide, even better. The best way to see Angkor Wat and I have already recommended it to others staying in the same hotel.

Pok was very helpful and knowledgeable. he added value to our visit, anyone visiting Angkor Watt should take a local good. he answered so many questions. he was able to accommodate our request for a cycling tour at the last minute and it helped us see some areas away from the usual destinations.

So glad we decided to book this tour. We had the best time cycling around the Angkor Wat temples. The tour was well organised and our guide, Pok, was amazing. He was so warm and welcoming and took us to places we wouldn't have otherwise gone, sharing information about the temples along the way. I think cycling is the best (and most adventurous) way to experience the area and I highly recommend doing it with Pok.

An EXTRAORDINARY experience! of all the trips and excursions I've been on, Pok is by far the best guide I've met. I am proud to be able to be the first to give my opinion on this platform that he has just joined. Don't hesitate: go for it. Pok welcomes you to his home, with his family, and will show you around Ankor by Bike in the most beautiful way, with all his kindness, simplicity and authenticity. Thank you for everything ! French Family.

We had a wonderful day of cycling and touring the temples with Pok. He is an incredibly knowledgeable and gentle guide and an excellent photographer. The cycling incredible and though intense was still manageable even for my wife who has only been riding a bike for the past four months! Once in a life time experience.

Excellent communication with Pok, our guide. Nice way to get an overview of the tremendous complex. Pok highlighted history and was able to answer our many questions. The lunch stop was clean with very good entrees. Bikes were good, paths were hard packed dirt, some paved, minimal traffic. Pok is a wizard with the photos and happily shares them with you. We were pressed for time in Siem Reap and this tour met our needs. Highly recommend.
