This is a 2-day experience from Siem Reap, built around Sun rise small tour and Big tour sun set. It is run by Siem Reap Experiences, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

I Just did the sunrise tour with Vone, good and funny guide. He led us through the main temples with good tips and good organisation that led us to a tour without any crowd. The group was small (7 people) so it felt private.
Pheap was a phenomenal guide, always smiling and laughing and his joy infected the rest of us. He was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had, encouraging us to ask away. He was also happy to answer our questions more generally about life in Cambodia, and how it had changed over his lifetime, as well as tourism and daily life.
We had a different guide for each day, Sok on day one and Pheap on day two. Both days were excellent. The transport is air conditioned which was very welcomed with the heat and we were provided with a lot of water. Both Sok and Pheap were knowledgable about the temples that we visited and were very helpful in answering questions. Both guides spoke excellent English and were very friendly. I would happily repeat this trip, I recommend to anyone!
Sayon and Sam were fantastic guides, very knowledgeable and kept everything on schedule over the two days. The lunch spots are pretty touristy and expensive compared to Siem Reap city. If you are on a budget, definitely bring a lunch box. overall, a great experience !
