A 2-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Angkor Wat Temple, Banteay Kdei Temple, Ta Promh Temple and Ta Nei Temple. There are 20 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. The price covers Hotel pickup and drop-off, English license guide and Cool drinking water & Towels. It does not cover temples pass, floating village ticket with private cru and meals ( l/b/d ), so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.
