A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Siem Reap Province, Angkor Wat, South Gate Siem Reap and Bayon Temple. There are 9 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. The price covers Bottled drinking water and Round-trip transfers to and from your hotel. It does not cover temple angkor pass and lunch, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport. Angkor Buddy runs it. I had a great day, we saw six temple sites and I bought lunch for us. The day was hot at 40 degrees and the driver greeted my return with cold water and a wet cloth which was very welcome. We shared humour together and met locals. I will post my video on YouTube manvancam
My guide was super knowledgable about local history and was very patient. He gave enough time for me to explore each site.

Great experience. Tickets easy to buy on the Angkor Pass app. Great to have our own driver on hand and use the itinerary as a guide but to have control of timings as a private group. Official Tour guides available to hire at all the temple sites if you want one. We were just looking for transportation and this was perfect.
The best thing was the availability of the Tuk Tuk driver who took us to the places that we checked, with great kindness and excellent attention

- Driver was always ready and waiting as we finished each section to move us to the next area on our tour. - Asked for a suggestion on local food for lunch and was brought to a nice restaurant that was great. - Driver lined us up with a tour guide to take us through the sites and give us background knowledge on what we were viewing which was a grat help. - Driver and guide spoke English and did not have any problems understanding besides a word here and there which we were able to figure out. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
