This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Siem Reap Experiences, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

We had the most amazing morning and our driver Nuok was so good. He even took us to some extra little stops which were so cool to see. We were given plenty of cold water and wipes, and the tuk tuk was very comfortable. I would highly recommend.

We had a great day together with Mr. Nuok. We managed to perfectly time the afternoon showers with a lunch break before visiting the last two temples on the itinerary.
Our driver Yoeun Nuok was excellent, his Tuk Tuk clean and well stocked with cold water and face towels. Which is a must on a hot day. He was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend him as a driver.
We did the Angkor Wat private TukTuk sunset tour and had a great time! Chamrong was very friendly and accomodating and was even able to pick us up from a cafe instead of our hotel last minute! The driving was smooth and he provided a lot of cold water for us throughout the hot day and took some pictures too. Based on other reviews we thought we were getting a guided tour and would learn things about the temples and history but this ended up being transportation only and we explored the temples ourselves with no guide (this is our fault for not double checking “what’s included”!)
