Full description
This is an 8-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple and Baphuon. It is run by Angkor Buddy, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

I had an amazing day with the guide Bun and the driver Sheya in Angkor! Our group was not that big with only 7 people and they took really good care of us. The guide Bun told us so much insightful stories about the history of the places and led us, besides the main highlights, to less crowded corners where we really could enjoy the atmosphere. Everything was very well organized and they even waited for us to see the sunset. Very very good value for the money. I can highly RECOMMEND the tour operator as well as Bun and Sheya in particular!
We had a very nice tour with Mr. Nang, who'd English was very good. He also had a lot of knowledge about the area, religon and could answer all are questions. it was a good combination of walking vs. driving and allthough it's a full day, it's very doable. Good tour

Alex the tour operator helped to sort my trip contacting me prior to the tour to rearrange due to the Cambodian new year celebrations meaning the sunset tour was no longer on. Visite à faire avec un guide absolument, la visite est top et bien pensée, notre guide et notre chauffeur étaient aux petits soins. Le van climatisé entre les temples avec eau glacé et serviettes froides étaient un soulagement pour nous car il faisait très chaud. Le restaurant était aussi très bien. À faire sans hésiter.

Nous avons passé une super journée à visiter les temples d’Angkor avec notre guide francophone, Reaksmey. Tout était très bien organisé : un chauffeur nous emmenait d’un temple à l’autre dans un véhicule climatisé, avec de l’eau fraîche à disposition toute la journée, ce qui est vraiment appréciable avec la chaleur.
