This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Angkor Buddy, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

Overwhelmed at the sheer size and scale of the whole temple complex our tuk tuk guide was great and spoke good english so we were able to find him easily when we came out of the temples . He also probided loads of bottled water which was welcome given the heat!
Our tour was excellent! Everything worked perfectly. Driver was on time, very friendly gentleman and a good driver. He knew the area well and advised us correctly where to go and where to meet again after each temple visit. I can only recommend!

wir standen um 04:30 Uhr an der Lobby und es kam kein Fahrer. Danach haben wir dort angerufen und der Herr am Telefon wusste auch nicht wer wir sind. Wir haben dann ein Tuktuk über unser Hotel gebucht, wo der Fahrer einfach 10$ für den einfachen Weg zum Ticket Office genommen hatte. In der Zwischenzeit hat sich der Fahrer vom Anbieter gemeldet und teilte uns mit, dass er uns am Ticket Office abholen wird. Die 10$ haben wir leider nicht zurück erhalten. Der Fahrer brachte uns dann zu Angkor Wat und zu den anderen Tempeln. Wir haben das versprochene Wasser tatsächlich erst in der Mitte der Tour
