This is a 60-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Pre Rup Temple – Ancient Khmer Temple, Banteay Srei – Finest Khmer Craftsmanship and Preah Khan – Atmospheric Temple Ruins. It is run by Journey Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

2 days tour of temples with the guide Sopheap Rath. I learned a lot about Cambodia history, very very interesting and entertaining..and Sopheap has incredible photographer skills. He knows all the best spots! the third day we did a tour including a visit of a local marker, rice fields and floating villages in Tonle Sap Lake. We enjoyed the tour with the guide So and our driver Kea! highly recommend!
The tour was great - very informative and well paced. Our guide Sokpee gave us just the right amount of information to give us a good understanding of every temple we visited, but not too much to feel overwhelmed. as a bonus point, he has some amazing photographic skills. :) and our driver Ro (not sure I spell his name correctly) was just so careful, smiling and full of attention - we felt very safe and well taken care of. Wir hatten 2,5 tolle Tage mit unserem Tourguide Chhay. Er hat sich viel Zeit genommen unsere Frage zu beantworten, so konnten wir viel über die Tempelanlagen und noch mehr über das heutige und das historische Leben in Kambodscha lernen. Die Verständigung hat durch sein sehr gutes Englisch wunderbar funktioniert. Wir haben zwar eine Gruppentour gebucht aber eine private Führung bekommen. Deshalb konnte Chhay uns verschiedene Optionen bieten, sodass wir die Tour nach unseren Wünschen gestalten konnten. An dieser Stelle auch noch einmal ein Lob an unseren Fahrer Vichhet. Three days is a lot so you need to be committed to getting as much as you can out of your trip to Siem Reap. And we were, and we did! Ruom our guide was very very knowledgeable and filled our heads with all sorts of facts and figures which really brought the sites we visited to life. Transport and driver were excellent. We got to tick off a bucket list adventure in the perfect way!
Wir hatten 3 spannende Tage mit unserem Guide Sam, der uns über alle Tempel aber auch über Land und Leute bestens mit Hintergrundinformationen versorgt hat. Diese Tour hat sich für uns wirklich gelohnt, ohne Guide hätte die Tour keinen Sinn gemacht, dann wären wir nur zwischen Ruinen herumgelaufen, jetzt haben wir alle ein großes Verständnis für die große Hochkultur und ihre großen Könige bekommen-wirklich empfehlenswert!!!!
