Full description
This is a 9-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple and Terrace of the Elephants. It is run by ASEAN ANGKOR GUIDE, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat is watched from the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where the five towers come up black against the sky and then double in the water. The ticket office opens at 04:30 and Angkor Wat lets people in from 05:00, which is why tours leave Siem Reap around 04:30 for a twenty-minute drive; the sky colours before the sun clears the towers, so arriving at first light is already late for the best of it. Dry season from November to March gives the cleanest skies, while the rains bring cloud that can either kill the sunrise or make it. The pool edge fills early, the southern pool is usually quieter, and a guide who knows which side to stand on is the difference between a photograph and a wall of raised phones.

I loved this tour! We waited for the sunrise, visited the main temple, had a very good breakfast and went biking through the forest, stopping along to visit other temples. Our guide Seng really made that experience special, by giving us extensive explanation about the history and the culture of the site. I strongly recommend!
Davith the guide was very nice, good English and knowledgeable. Bicycle was very good and the route was fun. Much quieter way of doing the tour. The cycling was mostly through the forest so wasn’t too hot either. Very good.
This was a very memorable day, taking in sunrise over Angkor Wat, the awe-inspiring temple complexes of this vast site, an outstanding breakfast and a good Cambodian lunch to finish. Our guide, Thou, was knowledgeable, an efficient programme manager and a very affable companion. On this flat terrain the cycling took us off the roads where possible but was not challenging and often shaded from the sun. The bikes were in very good condition. We would thoroughly recommend this introduction to the stunning main temples with Thou and his back-up driver.
Great bike tour of the area! Be careful on the small sand sections though. The sunrise was perfect! The guide was great at taking photos and sharing the culture with me. The breakfast was in a peaceful setting and lovely. The lunch was filling and tasty. The temple and ruins are something to see. Don't miss it! Very nice bike trip! Cycling through the jungle and finding ancient temples along the way has so much more appeal than taking an airconditioned bus or tuktuk. Good guide and team as well.
