Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm Temple and Angkor Thom. It is run by Journey Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

Excellent tour. Knowledgeable tour guide. Came a way with a lot of knowledge about Angkor Wat and Cambodia. The service was excellent too. Fresh, cold towels and water every time we came back to the van. Highly recommend!
Mr. Sokpee was very knowledgeable, providing thorough and insightful background on the design of all the temples we visited, as well as some of restoration efforts that continue to this day. In between temples we also learned about the lives and practices of the average citizen. He also pointed out photo opportunities and helped with taking them as well. I felt we covered a lot of ground, learned a ton, and got some great pictures to remember this tour by.
The tour was great - we had Mr Sok Chea as our tour guide and he was truly amazing!! He was extremely knowledgable and made our experience visiting Angkor Wat so much better, especially since we only had 1 day to see everything. He and our driver constantly provided us with cold towels and water throughout the day and the lunch spot we stopped at was lovely. Mr Sok Chea went above and beyond to make our experience as smooth as possible, including giving us other helpful tips and advice about our visit to Cambodia. Due to low season and less participants, we got an upgrade to join the sunrise tour. This was an amazing experience. Our guide, Yuth, was amazing and lead us not only through the Tempels but also gave us many insights about Cambodia its culture and history. His english was perfect which made it a perfect tour for us.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a deep understanding of the history of Angkor Wat. Both made sure we were hydrated, as the temperatures were extremely high. We would highly recommend this tour.

It was such a great experience and it was small group of only 4 of us so we did have fun. Our guide was funny and informative, he told us a lot about history and kings of khmers.
Great adventure! Each temple has its own vibe, and you have enough time at each stop to appreciate it. The guide is amazingly informed and easy to converse with, and the driver very accommodating with cooling cloths after each stop, and cold water, as well as an expert driver considering the roads. For the sunset part, you might want to bring a towel or pad to sit on, as the rocks can be warm!
We joined the day trip of small circle with sunset. Our guide Sarak has excellent English language eskills and gave a very good commentary including any necessary background information at a suitable pace. At appropriate times he gave us sufficient time for our activities. He has great photography skills, his pictures are like those taken by a professional photographer. Highly recommended.
my first tour was to floating village and met with an incompetent guide. so i was worried that my second day tour to ang kor wat will be the same as 1st one, with incompetent guide. but i was totally wrong. This is an absolutely amazing tour. Angkor Wat is magnificent and is a must-see in Cambodia. Our tour guide, Yuth S Prsith, was both knowledgeable and kind. We enjoyed getting to know him and we learned a great deal about Cambodian culture and history. You will not be dissapointed!
