This is an 8-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon and Baphuon. It is run by Tola Angkor Guide, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

Notre guide Alex parlait très bien le français et nous avons eu raison de choisir une visite avec un guide francophone car il y avait beaucoup de termes techniques et historiques que nous aurions eu du mal à comprendre. Le chauffeur était aux petits soins pour nous avec de l’eau fraîche et des lingettes rafraîchissantes après chaque visite. Nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir des temples d’Angkor grâce à la qualité de la prestation d’Alex.

Nous avons passé une superbe journée avec notre guide Piseth qui parle extrêmement bien français. Il nous a raconté toute l’histoire des temples, nous a emmené dans des endroits où il y avait moins de monde,… c’était super ! Notre visite avec notre guide Hing s'est très bien déroulée et il a été à notre petit soin tout au long. 🥰 Il a pris le temps de nous expliquer chaque histoire de chaque temple, il etait super gentil avec nous et très rigolo, on a passé un super moment. Le fait d'avoir des petits temps de pause, et le deplacement en van de temple en temple (avec la clim et des bouteilles d'eaux fraiches à disposition) etait très agréable, surtout avec la chaleur ! Vers la fin de la journée, il pensait qu'il allait peut-etre pleuvoir et il avait meme prevu des parapluies à disposition, j'ai trouvé ça très sympa
