Full description
This is an 8-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm Temple and Angkor Thom. It is run by Journey Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

Setha was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the ancient site of Angkor Wat and the other temples we visited, and made our visit very special. Both he and our driver, Song, were sympathetic to our needs when coping with the extremely hot weather, which also helped us enjoy our visit, inspite of the intense heat.

We had an awesome daytrip to Angkor Wat , Angkor Thom and Bayon Tempel. We were picked up at the hotel exact on time by our driver and our guide for the day Mr Sak, he really made our day, his knowledge about Angkor is huge and listening to him was very interesting, his service is really friendly and high level as he showed us the best spots and angles to take the best photos. He just takes that little step more to give the customer a lovely day. We would highly recommend this private daytour.
We had an amazing and special day with our guide Mr. Bun! One of the best guide we ever met. Nice and clean car, provided us unlimited cold water all day and fresh towels as well. Our tour guide was fantastic, with lots of information given at every point and could answer questions we had on the sights as well as Cambodia, which made it a pleasurable day. English was really good. Moving around in private car, they always made sure we had cold water & even cold little towels, to make sure we were comfortable.
