A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap, Bus/coach, Banteay Srei and Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff). There are 9 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. The price covers Bottled water and small fresh towel, Free pickup and drop-off at city hotels and Professional English-speaking tour guide. It does not cover banteay srei and beng mealea temple: ang, entrance fee of kulen mountain national and lunch and own expenses, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport. Priced per person at about $66 each, so a party of 8 comes to $530. The price you see on this page is the total for the party size you pick, not a per-head figure to multiply. Angkor Buddy runs it. The tours are very well organized. The hotel pickup is punctual, the car is clean and the driver careful and skilled. All of the temples and the waterfall were beautiful. Our guide, Tann, and our driver, Nat, were outstanding. Tann taught us so much historical and cultural information, and he was warm, engaging, and attentive, and had a great sense of humour. He also helped us understand a lot of the complexities in Cambodian history. He knew all the best spots for photos, and perfectly explained all the logistical details at each place we visited. I wish I could take more tours with him. Our driver, Nat, provided us with plentiful drinkimg water and cold towels ... perfect on such a hot dat. his driving was
Great overall experience. Sopheap, our guide was excellent and our driver Tan made sure we got got refreshing cold water and cold towels after every hot temple visit. All stops were worth visiting, apart from the "traditional village" at the end, which was just an opportunity for you to buy local handicrafts and produce. Nice if you're into that, but for most of us it just feels like a tourist trap at the end
Tann Sopheap picked us up in a very luxurious vehicle with air conditioner and “messaging” chairs. He kept this excellent quality service right through the tour by walking the extra mile. He is a safe driver and has a good sense of humour. He also took wonderful pictures to capture memories. This is the perfect tour to the countryside and to escape the city buzz. Walkways to the sites are mostly covered by trees - a blessing in the heat. We experienced how life in the rural areas look like, could snack local treats along the way and and we visit all sites as advertised and more. The restaurant
Taan was a great guide. He knew so much about history of both the country and the various sites we went to. I am also thankful that he was great at adjusting the pace depending on what I was interested in and how the weather was. The temples were very interesting, and the waterfall was gorgeous. I recommend this tour as a good way of seeing more of the area around Siem Reap and explore a bit.
