A full-day experience in Siem Reap. The operator sums it up as explore battambang's colonial streets and historic architecture. Battambang is Cambodia's second city and the calmest of them, a riverside town of French shophouses about three hours from Siem Reap. The bamboo train, the norry, is a bamboo platform on wheels driven by a small motor down a single track; when two meet, the lighter one is lifted off the rails by hand. The original line at O Dambong was replaced by a purpose-built tourist track at Banan. At dusk, millions of wrinkle-lipped bats stream out of a cliff cave at Phnom Sampeau for about half an hour in an unbroken ribbon, and the same hill carries a killing-cave memorial from the Khmer Rouge years. Priced per person at about $17 each, so a party of 6 comes to $102. The price you see on this page is the total for the party size you pick, not a per-head figure to multiply. Angkor Day Trip runs it. We book with them directly, so the guide who meets you works for the operator rather than for a reseller.

We had a great day with mr rich and really enjoyed the trip! We loved the bamboo train! The killing cave was very interesting and mr rich was very knowledgeable, they also have the option to get a jeep up which cost 10dollars for the 2 of us.
