Full description
This is a 14-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Angkor Guide Adventure, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Battambang is Cambodia's second city and the calmest of them, a riverside town of French shophouses about three hours from Siem Reap. The bamboo train, the norry, is a bamboo platform on wheels driven by a small motor down a single track; when two meet, the lighter one is lifted off the rails by hand. The original line at O Dambong was replaced by a purpose-built tourist track at Banan. At dusk, millions of wrinkle-lipped bats stream out of a cliff cave at Phnom Sampeau for about half an hour in an unbroken ribbon, and the same hill carries a killing-cave memorial from the Khmer Rouge years.

Great day out! Picked up from my hotel exactly on time. It's a 3 hour journey to Battambang so bring something to pass the time. Stops for WC and coffee. Once you get to Battambang you stop at 'the office' ( a family home - they are so lovely 😍 ) and transfer to a tuktuk. Cold towels and water provided. Our guide was great, very informative and friendly. The only thing I would say is that if you are not used to the heat then stopping at points of interest for too long can get uncomfortable. Wonderful way to see the highlights of Battambang on a day trip from Siem Reap. It is a long drive but the use of new EV vehicles made it smooth and comfortable. Our guide was friendly and communicated well. Be aware that you do not meet the guide until you arrive in Battambang..the first part of this excursion is transportation only. We had lunch at the homestay that organizes this trip and the lunch ( not included) was made from locally sourced ingredients and was excellent. We parti gladly enjoyed the opportunity to see the local life and the bat cave at dusk was a highlight. Can definitely

Owner went above and beyond with the transfers from siem reap, very comfortable drives both ways, and the tuk tuk tour had some amazing stops during the day. Especially the rice wine, and the bats erupting from the cave. Amazing hike to see the temples above the caves as well. Cool tour, big day!
Highly recommend this tour was very good for the price , our tour guide Andy was brilliant very informative about the local area and took us to some great spots and he was a very safe driver. The company messaged us before hand with the details of pickup and on arrival to Battambang we were able to use the facilities of the guest house. We tried local food , visited local landmarks , bamboo train , bat caves and some great sunset spots too highly recommend
We booked a tour for a day between Siem reap and Battambang. Everything was PERFECT, our driver and guide Andy was so kind and give us so much information about the history and the culture of Battambang. He made us discover local food and some great to spot of the city, it was one of the best day we had in Cambodia so far, a must do
We booked this activity as a day trip as we were staying in siem reap and wanted to go to Battambang for the day. It was so easy to book and the driver hi communicated with me before so I know where to go for the pick up point. Drivers were lovely and talkative and drove carefully. It was only us 2 on the tour but Ritchie still made us feel welcome. His knowledge of the places really added to the experience.
