A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap, Bus/coach, Koh Ker Temple and Beng Mealea. It does not cover personal expenses such as drinks at meal, temple pass (usd 15.00 per person, payab and beng mealea pass (usd 37.00 per person, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. The outlying temples take a half or full day of driving and repay it with emptiness. Beng Mealea, about 60 kilometres east, is a 12th-century temple of Angkor Wat's scale left largely uncleared, crossed on walkways over collapsed galleries. Koh Ker, two hours north-east, was briefly the capital in the 10th century and has Prasat Thom, a seven-tiered sandstone pyramid 36 metres high that you can climb by a wooden stair. Sambor Prei Kuk, listed by UNESCO in 2017, is older than Angkor itself, pre-Angkorian brick towers standing in forest. Some of these sites carry their own separate admission on top of the Angkor Pass. The price steps with party size rather than multiplying: 1 traveller is $260, 6 is $328 and 8 is $374. You are quoted the total for your party, not a per-head rate. Angkor Pro Travel runs it. We book with them directly, so the guide who meets you works for the operator rather than for a reseller.

I did recently a full day tour to Koh Ker Temple site and to Beng Mealea with a guide called Phyrom. The Tour was well organized and the tour guide was explaining everything very well, with a lot of additional informations you can not catch from travel books. This tour i can really recommend to everybody who wants to get deeper involved in Khmer culture. Both destinations are located a bit far from Seam Reap, so there are not so many tourists and you can enjoy the temple ruins very much
