Full description
This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Cambodian Travel Partner, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

It was the most amazing experience! From pick up to drop off James, our guide and the driver were excellent! very attentive, especially with my husband who had a poorly leg. James tailerd our trip to get the most out of the day and planned everything really well. His explanations were very comprehensive and it was obvious that he went to great lengths to learn about the history of the place. His English was excellent too and he always gave very comprehensive answers to our questions, even when just asking about life in Cambodia. The lunch was excellent too!

This trip is well worth the money,you get to see most of the temples plus you really get to see how the people live in the villages of siem reap and its surrounding areas,we were brought places that you wouldn't even go on a motorbike,if you are up for an adventure in the jungle then this is the one for you,our guide was CHHAN who was great on the day plus we had two jeeps as there was 5 of us,i recommend this to anyone but bring old clothes with you as the red dust from the off roads will get everywhere,it does get very hot and there is a lot crammed into the day with a very nice air conditio

The tour guide Chan was the BEST of the trip. She was very helpful and has very good knowledge of Angkor. The Driver Kan was also very nice givin as cold water after every visit. 100% THE BEST TOUR
Jeep driver, Channa is very cautious. Our tour guide, Makara is very good in his job, Speak good English and delivered good knowledge of the whole tour of Angkor Wat and the other temples, Bayon, Ta Prohm etc.
Our tour guide was wonderful! He was informative, funny, and passionate. Our driver was friendly, safe, and prompt. They also took us through the Cambodian countryside, which was just as neat as the temples! Our guide pointed out great photo ops and explained every bit of history and kept it exciting. This was the best tour we could have booked! I'm so very pleased!
