Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Local restaurant and Bayon Temple. It is run by Siem Reap Shuttle, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

I made a mistake and accidentally booked two tours with similar itineraries. The company was so helpful and just moved me to another tour. I would highly recommend any of the tours from this company as I did three of them and they were all great. The last tour was with Mr Kim and our driver Reak to the Banteay Srei Backcountry tour. It was absolutely amazing. Mr Kim was funny and highly knowledgeable about the history of each place we visited. Also, they included some of my favourite places that I saw in the archeological park. Such a great experience.
The tour was awesome, especially thanks to our tour guide Chenda and our driver Tee. Chenda not only explained the history in a super clear way, but also made us laugh a lot and took amazing photos of us. Both of them were really professional, and we’d definitely do another tour or trip with them again! 🙌
Although the day was tiring and hot, the tour was well worth it. Our small group was led by our knowledgeable, friendly and extremely accommodating guide Phyrom. He not only did his job well at explaining the history of each temple we visited but also went out of his way to make sure that we are well taken care of and also took the trouble to make sure that each of us got the nicest photos ever. Please trust him and follow his instructions hahahaha... As a solo traveller, it sometimes is a challenge getting photos but this was not the case. As for the temples, this tour was just right for me -

Tola was an excellent guide. He was very patient and always came back to look for the last members of the group. I never worked at would very lousy or left behind, even when crowded or in the dark. He is also very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to.
John has been amazing! The temples are different and diverse, and all worth it. Wouldn’t recommend the sunset, too overcrowded and views were “ok” without being extraordinary.
