Full description
This is a 12-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Phnom Kulen National Park, Koh Ker Temple and Local restaurant. It is run by Angkor Buddy, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The outlying temples take a half or full day of driving and repay it with emptiness. Beng Mealea, about 60 kilometres east, is a 12th-century temple of Angkor Wat's scale left largely uncleared, crossed on walkways over collapsed galleries. Koh Ker, two hours north-east, was briefly the capital in the 10th century and has Prasat Thom, a seven-tiered sandstone pyramid 36 metres high that you can climb by a wooden stair. Sambor Prei Kuk, listed by UNESCO in 2017, is older than Angkor itself, pre-Angkorian brick towers standing in forest. Some of these sites carry their own separate admission on top of the Angkor Pass.

Tann ha sido un guía maravilloso. Hemos aprendido mucho de la cultura, las gentes y también los templos de Camboya. Bantray Srei, Koh Ker y Beng Mealea quizá no tengan la fama de Angkor Wat, pero son igual o más espectaculares si cabe. Añadir también que Tann se ha tomado el tiempo de atender a todas nuestras dudas y hacernos fotos. En definitiva, animamos a todo el mundo a hacer este tour.
