Full description
This is a 9-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Banteay Srei, Phnom Kulen National Park and Beng Mealea. It is run by Angkor Visitor Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Phnom Kulen is the sandstone plateau the Angkor temples were quarried from and the place where Jayavarman II declared himself universal monarch in 802, which is the founding date Cambodians give their empire. The road up is steep and the site carries its own USD 20 entry, separate from the Angkor Pass. At the top are the two-tier waterfall people swim under, the river bed carved with lingas at Kbal Spean's larger cousin, and a reclining Buddha cut into a boulder at the summit pagoda, reached barefoot. It is a full day from Siem Reap and best in or just after the rains, when the falls actually run.

Super day trip to Banteay Srei, Phnom Kulen & Beng Melea A fantastic day beyond the main Angkor circuit — the pink sandstone carvings at Banteay Srei, the scenic Kulen Waterfall on Phnom Kulen, and the wild, unrestored ruins of Beng Melea were all highlights. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable throughout, adding great context to every stop, and our driver was friendly and reliable all day. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to see more of Cambodia beyond the standard temples.

Praim’s a really good guide. He speaks good English, is very knowledgeable, keen to share his knowledge and a good photographer! The tour was fantastic ! Praim was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive to our needs—we appreciated that he took the time to explain Cambodian culture to us as well as accommodate our schedule. Overall, the experience was really great, each of the activities had their unique characteristic, so it was a lot of fun ! Highly recommend.
Very nice Khmer temples and a lovely reclining buddha, a good guide with lots of knowledge. But I think since Kulen NP costs 20$ pp and day extra entry fee (in addition to Angkor pass!) we would no longer recommend this tour. The cliff is far from being spectecular and the waterfall is crowded and accompanied by tons of food stall, tourist souvenir huts. You mus[ pay extra for change room and locker... I really wonder, why the area is called a national park?!?
Our adventure to Kuleh Mountain and the waterfall was a memorable blend of natural beauty and cultural discovery, all thanks to our incredible guide, Sieng Keo. The journey up Kuleh Mountain was breathtaking, with lush greenery and panoramic views that made every step worth it. Sieng was a fantastic guide, sharing insights into the local plants and wildlife and weaving in stories that connected us to the landscape. The full day was fantastic. A great chance to see outside Siem Reap and see more of the beauty of Cambodia. Praim was absolutely SUPERB!!! He made our trip to the mountains so special- attentive to every little detail- iced water in abundance- ice cold little towels- extremely good driving in a comfortable a/c car.
