A half-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap, Chreav, Kampong Phluk and Traditional village. There are 5 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. The price covers Hotel pick-up and drop-off, Transportation: Tuk Tuk, Vespa or Car and Boat tour of Kampong Phluk. It does not cover tips and personal expense, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and it reverses direction twice a year: in the monsoon the Mekong pushes water back up the Tonle Sap river and the lake swells several times over, then drains again from about November. The villages on it live with that. Kampong Phluk's stilt houses stand six to ten metres up on their legs, dry underneath in March and wading depth in October; Kampong Khleang is larger, further out and far less visited; Chong Kneas is closest to Siem Reap and the most touristed. Which village works, and whether the boat can reach the flooded forest at all, depends entirely on the month. The price steps with party size rather than multiplying: 1 traveller is $39, 5 is $117 and 8 is $188. You are quoted the total for your party, not a per-head rate. Ravy is a nice enthusiast guide, who likes to tell about life in Cambodia. Also he learns you a few basic Cambodian frases. And he showed us some nice small company’s to understand the way people makes their money. But above all, he showed us the village Kampong Phluk in a fine way. So five stars for him.

J'avais choisi ce circuit car il me semblait sortir un peu des sentiers battus pour un rhyme plus lent et plus immersif et j'ai pas ete decue. J'etais seule donc j'ai ete choucoutee port mon chauffeur Sambath et mon guide RAvy. RAvy m'a fait decouvrir le marche, la pagode et Le village. Comme c'est un guide local, il m'a explique le mode de vie local en total immersion. Je recommande vivement cette escapade au rhyme lent mais combien plus tradionnel du tuk-tuk et du bateau a fond plat.
