Full description
This is a 1-day experience from Siem Reap, built around Kaoh Ker and Beng Mealea. It is run by Asia Voyage Travel & Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The outlying temples take a half or full day of driving and repay it with emptiness. Beng Mealea, about 60 kilometres east, is a 12th-century temple of Angkor Wat's scale left largely uncleared, crossed on walkways over collapsed galleries. Koh Ker, two hours north-east, was briefly the capital in the 10th century and has Prasat Thom, a seven-tiered sandstone pyramid 36 metres high that you can climb by a wooden stair. Sambor Prei Kuk, listed by UNESCO in 2017, is older than Angkor itself, pre-Angkorian brick towers standing in forest. Some of these sites carry their own separate admission on top of the Angkor Pass.

Had an amazing time on this tour, so much fun exploring without many people from Angkor Wat. One of the less visited but equally fantastic temples! Our driver Kosal was an excellent and safe driver all day long, our guide Sambin was just fantastic with knowledge and tales of the past. Transportation was soooo comfortable and we all dozed off at some point from all the excitement of the day. Only disappointment was having to pay extra $15 each at Koh Ker but luckily Beng Mealea was included in our Angkor passes. Seng heal is an incredibly knowledgeable guide, and was able to answer the many questions I had about temples, Cambodian history (ancient and modern) and general info about Cambodian culture. Kosal as the driver was lovely. Having the air con car and the water top up made a hot day very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Amazing day exploring the Koh Ker park! Sangheak and Sokhai as guide and driver were wonderful. So much knowledge and passion. I ended up having a private tour as I was the only one booked and the guys tailored it perfectly to what I was interested in. 10/10 recommend.

It was an amazing trip. My tour guide Sengheak and driver Kosal knows everything about the temples, history and culture, and the car is AC powered and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
Senghor was a wonderful guide, really informative, friendly, and gave me the perfect balance of accompanied guiding and free time to explore. Beng Mealea is a lovely jungle ruin! Being the off-season, I was the only one on this trip, and thankfully it still went ahead regardless!
The trip was great and easy, pick up from the hotel, great communication and pleasant journey. Since I've already seen Beng Mealea before, I was only focusing on th Koh Ker piramide which looks amazing. If you can plan your trip to visit the site after monsun season when all the jungle is lush green the it's even better. Thank you so much for a great time
We had such a fun day, everything was perfect. Our guide Sen was very informed, very funny and spoke very well English. We had more than enough time to take pictures and walk around to everywhere we wanted. In the end we forgot our wallet in the car and the driver found it and brought it all the way back to our hotel before we even knew it was missing. Thank you so much for everything!
