Full description
This is a 5-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Ro Lus Market, Kampong Phluk and Tonlé Sap. It is run by Siem Reap Shuttle, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and it reverses direction twice a year: in the monsoon the Mekong pushes water back up the Tonle Sap river and the lake swells several times over, then drains again from about November. The villages on it live with that. Kampong Phluk's stilt houses stand six to ten metres up on their legs, dry underneath in March and wading depth in October; Kampong Khleang is larger, further out and far less visited; Chong Kneas is closest to Siem Reap and the most touristed. Which village works, and whether the boat can reach the flooded forest at all, depends entirely on the month.

it was a lovely tour with totally different scenery to the city. Seeing how the people live and trade and work. A tour guide ,I really liked as he did not once asked us to do a review on any of the app sites for tourist. I did a number of tours and it go to the stag that it was annoying so many guides requesting this. Our guide today did not ask anyone which was brill and made the tour more enjoyable. Thanks again for you qualilities on this day tour.
