Full description
This is an 8-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Preah Dak, Phnom Kulen National Park and Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff). It is run by BREKSA TRAVEL, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Phnom Kulen is the sandstone plateau the Angkor temples were quarried from and the place where Jayavarman II declared himself universal monarch in 802, which is the founding date Cambodians give their empire. The road up is steep and the site carries its own USD 20 entry, separate from the Angkor Pass. At the top are the two-tier waterfall people swim under, the river bed carved with lingas at Kbal Spean's larger cousin, and a reclining Buddha cut into a boulder at the summit pagoda, reached barefoot. It is a full day from Siem Reap and best in or just after the rains, when the falls actually run.
Pickup is offered from Krong Siem Reap and Krong Siem Reap; the exact spot and time are agreed with BREKSA TRAVEL once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

Vann Seila was an excellent guide, he speaks many languages, luckily his excellent English was one of them. I just booked a trip to see the mountain and waterfal, but we did so much more.
the trip was very nice and authentic, every place was magic and the picnic super highlight of the day. the guide spoke well English and was very supportive and explained everything. very recommended!!
Fantastic trip with stops at the scenic view point, the reclining Buddha and the waterfall. Please note it is not a hiking trip! You just walk some stairs up and down. The food was great, nice group, ticket for the Kulen Mountain is included. Swim at the waterfall was great. Wonderful tour guide named Kim!
Mony and sophal were incredible guides for an incredible day! We stopped at various places on the way in, tried a local palm cake and had one of the best lunches I've had while traveling! We got to swim in the waterfall and learned all about the history and area along the way. Mony spoke English very well and was extremely knowledgeable. Sophal was always ready with cold waters and cold towels. Definitely worth the trip!

I recommend this excursion 100%! I was picked up at my hotel by Sothea the driver (who drives very well) and our guide for this day at Phnom Kulen was Mony. We had a great day. Beyond a simple guide, he made us discover a lot of beautiful places!! I recommend them without hesitation, it was incredible!!
Highly recommended! First our tour guide Mony took us to see how Palm Cake is made and gave us some cakes to eat, then we went towards Kulen mountain with a few stops on the way. We swam the waterfall and had a delicious lunch. Mony told us lots of interesting information about the area and was happy to answer our questions. We had an amazing time! Very organized! From Mr. Ricky’s initial contact to confirm the tour, explaining the schedule and itinerary details, and providing the names of the driver (Mr Moon) and guide (Mr. Mony) and on the day of the tour, they contacted us to follow their arrival. Everything was handled perfectly. Both were excellent and very attentive, Mr. Mony was always eager to answer our questions and his explanations made our tour complete. We highly recommend it.
