Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Preah Dak, Phnom Kulen National Park and Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff). It is run by BREKSA TRAVEL, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and it reverses direction twice a year: in the monsoon the Mekong pushes water back up the Tonle Sap river and the lake swells several times over, then drains again from about November. The villages on it live with that. Kampong Phluk's stilt houses stand six to ten metres up on their legs, dry underneath in March and wading depth in October; Kampong Khleang is larger, further out and far less visited; Chong Kneas is closest to Siem Reap and the most touristed. Which village works, and whether the boat can reach the flooded forest at all, depends entirely on the month.

What a fantastic Day! Mr Sam was a perfect guide to the day, knowledgeable and explained everything as we went along.. although his jokes were questionable! Waterfalls were as expected stunning and such a refreshing break..great lunches..and a stunning boat ride. We couldn't ask for more. We had a breathtaking tour of Kulen Mountain and the floating village. This trip was everything and more, friendly people, beautiful scenery and so many photo opportunities for those who love taking pictures. My boyfriend and I booked this tour last minute, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Cambodia. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly accommodating and flexible with our schedule, which made the entire experience feel smooth and stress-free. Our tour guide, Seila, was fantastic, very articulate, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging throughout the experience. We had an amazing day with Mr Makara our excellent guide and our brilliant driver Mr Taa. Mr Makara was absolutely fantastic - he shared with us so much knowledge and looked after us from the start of the day until the end. We were picked up from our hotel and we headed towards Kulen Mountain to see the River of the 1000 Lingas, Sleeping Buddha and the waterfall which was beautiful. The trip was really good, our tour guide Seila was very nice, his knowledge about the history. religion and culture of the places we visited is incredible. He was always available to explain more and to make everything perfect! They gave us lots of water, an amazing lunch in an amazing spot . All in all an amazing day that I would definitely repeat and that I would suggest to whoever comes to Siem Reap!

Wonderful tour day nicely choreographed and kindly and expertly executed by our guide Mr. Makara, the information about each site visited, historic and current, was interesting, witty and just right. His recommendations on the best views and spots for best picture angles were also spot on. he knew how to make us make the most of each attraction and not miss out on anything, which I think a sign of care and dedication.
