This is an experience from Siem Reap, built around Phnom Kulen National Park, Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff) and Kulen waterfall. It is run by Asia Voyage Travel & Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Phnom Kulen is the sandstone plateau the Angkor temples were quarried from and the place where Jayavarman II declared himself universal monarch in 802, which is the founding date Cambodians give their empire. The road up is steep and the site carries its own USD 20 entry, separate from the Angkor Pass. At the top are the two-tier waterfall people swim under, the river bed carved with lingas at Kbal Spean's larger cousin, and a reclining Buddha cut into a boulder at the summit pagoda, reached barefoot. It is a full day from Siem Reap and best in or just after the rains, when the falls actually run.

Pickup is offered from Krong Siem Reap, Sivutha Boulevard, Sok San Road, Sala Kamreuk Road and Sala Kamreuk; the exact spot and time are agreed with Asia Voyage Travel & Tour once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The price covers Pick up and Drop off, tour guide and Cold water and Cold Towel. It does not cover Phnom Kulen Pass, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Seng is a very nice guide who took the time to explain to us all the aspect of the khmer culture and answer all our questions! Regarding the tour in itself, we actually had a private tour (only me and my friend in the car). we also had to pay 20$/pax more for the access to the park which is not mentionned in the description. The tour finished around 13h30 at the waterfall and the next stop is a very touristic restaurant (~2.5 times normal price) but it seems that all the tours of the region stop here. Overall, the tour is well balanced between historical aspect, nature, landscape and we never
