A half-day experience in Siem Reap. The operator sums it up as visiting the most magnificent sites in the city. The price covers Hotel pick-up and drop-off, Transportation (Tuk-Tuk) and Live guide. Battambang is Cambodia's second city and the calmest of them, a riverside town of French shophouses about three hours from Siem Reap. The bamboo train, the norry, is a bamboo platform on wheels driven by a small motor down a single track; when two meet, the lighter one is lifted off the rails by hand. The original line at O Dambong was replaced by a purpose-built tourist track at Banan. At dusk, millions of wrinkle-lipped bats stream out of a cliff cave at Phnom Sampeau for about half an hour in an unbroken ribbon, and the same hill carries a killing-cave memorial from the Khmer Rouge years. Priced per person at about $32 each, so a party of 8 comes to $260. The price you see on this page is the total for the party size you pick, not a per-head figure to multiply. Angkor Bike Rental Service runs it. We book with them directly, so the guide who meets you works for the operator rather than for a reseller.

It was great journey, informative and fun. Mr David is so in when talking about the history of the city, the tale of Bat Dambang man, the Red Khmers regime. We all loved that, adults and kids, including the visits at the craft shops, Home made food (noodles, rice paper, rice wine, bamboo sticky rice..), watching the process and then tasting the products, yummy ! Not the first time in Battambang but this dayrwas very delightful. For sure I will recommend this tour for culture and food lovers. Oh’ Kun , thank you 🙏🏻

A fascinating tour of some highlights in Battenbang area. We loved the visits the the local small businesses (rice paper, rice wine, bamboo sticky rice and noodle). It was fascinating to see close-up how these products are made…and to taste the fresh produce! Samol was a lovely guide, excellent English and he provided great insight into both the history and culture of Battambang/Cambodia. He kindly took some great photos of our trip and shared them with us via WhatsApp.

Had a great time exploring the countryside around Battambang in a tuktuk! It was really interesting to see all the different ways the people use rice, and to watch them work. I was happy to try the freshest most delicious spring rolls I’ve ever had.
The tour was very informative! It was great to see what is still being done by hand and from scratch. The best part of was tasting the food right then and there, it was so fresh and sooooo good. C’était une très bonne matinée en compagnie de Mr David! Nous avons appris pleins de choses sur les savoirs faire autour du riz, c’était très intéressant. Nous avons également vu de très beaux temples et le tour en tuk-tuk dans les villages etait très agréable! Nous sommes ravies et recommandons cette activité!
Der Guide war nett und hat alle Fragen ausführlich beantwortet. Die Stopps und der Einblick in die noch existenten Produktion (Reisnudel, Reiswein, Reisblätter) war sehr interessant.
Tout était vraiment très bien. Surtout les arrêts dans les différentes familles qui confectionnent divers ingrédients à base de riz, nouilles, galettes, alcools,... toutes les personnes étaient vraiment incroyable et on voyait qu'ils avaient envie de faire connaître leurs savoir faire. Mr David is accommodating and friendly. He explains and shows the local food, history and culture from a local point of view so you get to experience authentic daily life at Battambang. If you would like to immerse yourself further into the life of Khmer people in Battambang, I recommend this tour!
