Full description
This is a 7-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Tuk tuk, Angkor Wat and Local café. It is run by Travel Choice Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat is watched from the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where the five towers come up black against the sky and then double in the water. The ticket office opens at 04:30 and Angkor Wat lets people in from 05:00, which is why tours leave Siem Reap around 04:30 for a twenty-minute drive; the sky colours before the sun clears the towers, so arriving at first light is already late for the best of it. Dry season from November to March gives the cleanest skies, while the rains bring cloud that can either kill the sunrise or make it. The pool edge fills early, the southern pool is usually quieter, and a guide who knows which side to stand on is the difference between a photograph and a wall of raised phones.

Fantastic full-day Angkor experience We did the full-day tour covering Angkor Wat at sunrise, Angkor Thom, Bayon, and Ta Prohm — the pace was perfect, unhurried but efficient enough to see it all in one day. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and our driver was friendly throughout. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a thorough introduction to Angkor.

This was a wonderful personalised tour of Ta Prohm Temple and Angkor Wat. The guide was perfect and very knowledgeable and gave me a wonderful overview of the history of these 2 temples. It was very hot when we started at Ta Prohm Temple at about 3 pm but the tuktuk driver provided ice cold water before and afterwards. 3 hours was a good length. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Naga was a fantastic guide, on time with a friendly face at 5am. Lots of useful information and background about the ancient city we’d never have got had we tried to guide ourselves. Obviously, the sunrise was stunning, but the tour itself, in which we hit 7-8 different locations with ample time to explore ourselves, was perfect. Also, Naga is an absolute whizz with an iPhone so you’ll get some great images
Fantastic tour! Tom was great and very informative. We are engaged and thought about booking a photo shoot somewhere on our travels, but Tom knew all the places and angles to get so it doubled as a photo shoot and was worth it for that alone! He gave intricacies of the constructions and stories told on the walls that we wouldn’t have had otherwise. Driver was kind, gave us cold water, and was always Johnny on the spot!
Ra (Chhim Malaya) was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He provided clear, concise in depth information about the deep, cultural heritage, the struggles to build the structures, and the purpose behind everything. He was able to explain the carvings, help us understand the story, and appreciate the Khmer history. We highly recommend his guiding expertise, and we plan to share his information with any of our friends who plan to travel to Cambodia in the future. I had a fantastic experience with Mr Long! We headed for sunrise in Angkor and proceeded to two more temples. Mr Long is experienced, pleasant and knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, let me explore and take my time with photos, showed me best spots and made sure water and cold towels are waiting for me after every temple. 10/10 would recommend and hopefully will come back one day!
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and let us take our time with photos and gave recommendations on where to take the best photos. He was also willing to extend our tour by stopping at some of the famous gates and allowing us to see an extra temple. Really enjoyed the experience.
