Full description
This is a 10-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by ASEAN ANGKOR GUIDE, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Phnom Kulen is the sandstone plateau the Angkor temples were quarried from and the place where Jayavarman II declared himself universal monarch in 802, which is the founding date Cambodians give their empire. The road up is steep and the site carries its own USD 20 entry, separate from the Angkor Pass. At the top are the two-tier waterfall people swim under, the river bed carved with lingas at Kbal Spean's larger cousin, and a reclining Buddha cut into a boulder at the summit pagoda, reached barefoot. It is a full day from Siem Reap and best in or just after the rains, when the falls actually run.

What a magical day this was. The trip around the kulen forest was spectacular and both the guide mr Jan and driver mr sothear were amazing. Great knowledge teaching us about Cambodian culture The elephant sanctuary was a once in a lifetime experience.
It was an amazing experience and definitely a highlight of our trip. Mr Makara was knowledgeable and looked after us very well. The Elephant sanctuary was a wonderful experience we will never forget. It was a delight to feed and we so close to them. We enjoyed learning more about the culture and seeing the 1000 lingas and reclining Budda. The lunch and afternoon tea were delightful. We enjoyed the variety of activities, seeing Cambodian rural life and the experience at the elephant sanctuary was amazing. We were also very well looked after by our guide and driver.
Assolutamente incredibile! Abbiamo trascorso una giornata in questa fantastica foresta.. un posto magico! Nonostante la pioggia che ci ha accompagnato tutta la mattina abbiamo goduto di questo posto straordinario, a pranzo una sosta con un pranzo al sacco insieme alla nostra guida Raman, assolutamente meraviglioso! Abbiamo trascorso il pomeriggio al santuario degli elefanti, una delle esperienze più belle mai fatte, abbiamo dato da mangiare e lavato gli elefanti ed è stato molto emozionante!
Ein super schöner Tagesausflug. Wir haben die schönsten Orte des Phnom Kulen Parks besucht. Unter anderem den schönen Ausblick von den Klippen, die tausend Lingas und einen Wasserfall. Mein Tourguide Mr. Sean war super freundlich, hilfsbereit und konnte mir zu allem viele Informationen geben. Nach einem Picknick ging es dann weiter zum Elefantenwald, was definitiv eine der schönsten Erlebnisse meines Lebens war. Am späten Nachmittag wurde ich zurück zum Hotel gebracht. Ein toller Tag, den ich nie vergessen werde.

Excursion très complète et diversifiée. Super expérience lors de la visite du bouddha couché où nous avons pu vivre le jour du bouddha. Le savoir apporté par Jan, notre guide, était très intéressant. Nous avons pu lui poser toutes les questions que nous avions. L'après midi avec les éléphants a été la cerise sur le gâteau! Un moment exceptionnel que nous n'oublierons pas. Sans oublier Theara, notre conducteur, qui a rendu nos trajets en voiture très agréable. Je recommande à 100% cette équipe pour cette expérience.
