This is an 8-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Bus/coach, Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff) and One Thousand Linga. It is run by Angkor Buddy, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Phnom Kulen is the sandstone plateau the Angkor temples were quarried from and the place where Jayavarman II declared himself universal monarch in 802, which is the founding date Cambodians give their empire. The road up is steep and the site carries its own USD 20 entry, separate from the Angkor Pass. At the top are the two-tier waterfall people swim under, the river bed carved with lingas at Kbal Spean's larger cousin, and a reclining Buddha cut into a boulder at the summit pagoda, reached barefoot. It is a full day from Siem Reap and best in or just after the rains, when the falls actually run.

I booked this trip for myself, my husband and mother in law. It ended up being just us three for the day. It really was incredible. Our guide, Tann, went above and beyond. He gave us so much information about Cambodia and it's history and political landscape. We honestly didn't notice the time going by as we were enjoying ourselves so much. Every time we got back to the car there was cold water and a fresh towel waiting for us. It was bliss. We had a wonderful time at the waterfall and Tann took lots of pictures which he sent along to us afterwards. Definitely book this day trip!

The waterfalls are impressive and beautiful and offer a refreshing swim! Our guide Tann took us to see the views in Kulen national park and was kind and helpful. He took some pictures for us and told us about Cambodian history and … A very nice trip do in the morning!
