A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap, Preas Dak Village, Traditional village and Phnom Kulen National Park. There are 7 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. The price covers Hotel pick up & drop off, Transportation in an air-conditioned car and English-speaking guide ( If you select option + English Guid. It does not cover phnom kulen ticket $20/day and personal expense, so budget for those separately. Phnom Kulen is the sandstone plateau the Angkor temples were quarried from and the place where Jayavarman II declared himself universal monarch in 802, which is the founding date Cambodians give their empire. The road up is steep and the site carries its own USD 20 entry, separate from the Angkor Pass. At the top are the two-tier waterfall people swim under, the river bed carved with lingas at Kbal Spean's larger cousin, and a reclining Buddha cut into a boulder at the summit pagoda, reached barefoot. It is a full day from Siem Reap and best in or just after the rains, when the falls actually run. The price steps with party size rather than multiplying: 1 traveller is $117, 5 is $319 and 8 is $510. You are quoted the total for your party, not a per-head rate. I can’t say enough good things about this tour. Our guide, Pratha, was the best. He was full of information and personal stories that would help us understand Cambodian culture. The tour company had the highest standards. On our way to our first stop, we stopped by a roadside stand where they make a special date cake. It is very labor intensive and we got to see the women preparing it at every stage, then each of us got one. So delicious. The itinerary was full and excellent. We were able to experience in one day, what is included in 3 separate tours. Instead of eating at a restaurant, we ate
