Full description
A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, Tonle Om Gate (Southern Gate) and Bayon Temple. There are 11 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. The price covers English Speaking Tour Guide, Return transfers and Bottle water. It does not cover entry ticket to angkor wat temple ($37.0, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport. The price steps with party size rather than multiplying: 2 travellers is $102, 5 is $163 and 8 is $208. You are quoted the total for your party, not a per-head rate. Angkor Buddy runs it. Bunna was an excellent guide! He had an answer to every question and explained everything very well. He also listened to our wishes and made the tour more personal for us. We even visited an additional temple. Bunna also knew the best photo spots and helped us get some great pictures. The pickup with the tuk-tuk also worked perfectly. Everything was well organized. Trip was from 7am till 2pm which is plenty of time and enough given the several steep stairs climbs and general walking. We had a great tut-tut plus driver who proved cold water and ice cold towels when we started to wilt in 37c heat. Arun our guide was extremely attentive and provided a wide suit of details of the artefacts as well as providing context on how Khumer culture echos through recent tragic history to today. Blown away by the whole experience.

Incredible tour O would highly recommend! Som was our tour guide and he made the day very special for us. He know a lot about the temples their religious and cultural as well as historical background and customized the tour so we could have the best experience possible.
